WHAT IT MEANS TO YOU
It can take a very long time to recover from a stroke. You need to set aside perhaps 10-15 mins two or three times a day and work through some targetted exercises to keep your rehabilitation on track.
NICE Guidelines stipulate the stroke victims should receive a minimum of 45 mins of relevant therapy at least five days per week.
When your NHS Care in the Community tapers off, make contact with your local leisure centre and talk to them about the services they provide. They can offer home-based LASER therapy to help you with your daily activity needs.
As you get stronger and more mobile, you can progress to attending their weekly classes to boost your recovery & rehabilitation.
